A Gold Award!

Wow, a gold award! Since joining The Guild of Photographers in 2014 I have always dreamed of winning a Gold award in the monthly competition. I’ve worked my way up from bronzes to silvers with the help of mentoring and lots of hard work! On March 21st 2018 I received the results of February’s competition and honestly could not believe what I was seeing! I had to check several times before it sunk in, I’d done it- a GOLD award! In the newborn and baby category a gold is extremely rare and in fact in 2017 only 1 gold was awarded for a newborn image for the whole year. The little chair was bought in an antique centre and I had a vision for final photograph as soon as I saw it. It took a few attempts to get it just right but I just love the final image.
